Benefits

Residents and fellows become eligible for all health and welfare benefits on the first day of employment. The cost of coverage is largely employer-subsidized and includes:

  5. Short-term disability
  6. Employer-paid basic life insurance/accidental death and dismemberment at 1½ times pay up to $500,000
  7. Salary continuation during disability for up to 12 weeks and 50% short-term disability thereafter at no cost
  8. 60% long-term disability provided at no cost
  9. 50% of short-term disability provided at no cost, up to 60% available with cost
  10. Supplemental life insurance/accidental death and dismemberment

PTO:  20 days are allotted, in addition to religious holidays and wellness days.

5. Housing: At some sites, limited housing is available to residents at a below-market rate through a prescribed eligibility process outlined in the housing guidelines

9. Additional insurance: Voluntary long-term care, group universal life, prepaid legal, identity theft, and cancer benefits at discounted rates
10. Banking services: No-fee checking, Visa card, safe deposit box at reduced rates 
11. First six weeks of the first approved medical, parental, or caregiver leave(s) of absence – 100% fully paid.
12. On-Call benefits-a monthly meal allowance when on-call
13. Lunches provided at noon conference
14. Retirement Account: Employer contribution offered at 100% match up to 3% of salary
